Permits for Remediation
National Grid has obtained approvals from the following federal, state, and local agencies. Click on the plus symbol next to each agency to see copies of the permits.
National Grid submitted an Expanded Environmental Notification Form (EENF) describing the project in July 2013. On August 23, 2013, National Grid received a MEPA Certificate stating that no further MEPA review is required, that National Grid should hold pre-permitting meetings with the MassDEP and that the project may proceed to State permitting. Between 2012 and 2015, National Grid has filed an MCP Phase II Comprehensive Site Assessment Report, Phase III Remedial Action Plan, and Phase IV Remedy Implementation Plan to comply with the MassDEP cleanup and reporting requirements.
